Fiona's eyes shot open. She turned around. Alicia was standing behind her, hands on her hips, her whip clutched in one hand.
"You ready to talk yet?" Alicia asked, stepping forward.
Fiona glared at her in rage. "Never! I'm not betraying Scourge! Never again!"
"Oh, what a shame," Alicia said, sighing.
In a heartbeat, she had whipped out a knife and sliced it down the side of Fiona's face. She screamed, blood pouring from the cut.
"Where is he?" Alicia demanded.
"I don't know!" Fiona wailed. "I told you, I don't know! Even if I did, I'd never tell you!"
Alicia snarled and raised the knife. She sliced it down Fiona's arm. Sobbing, Fiona felt the blood trickle from the gash.
"You had better tell me," Alicia said, walking around so she was behind Fiona. "You better tell me now!"
Her whip dug into Fiona's back, reopening the whip cuts in her back. She screamed, her body racked with pain. She just wanted it to end.
The whip lashed time after time into Fiona's back, her wails getting
Scourge raced down the hallways, determined to reach the prison. He'd once lived within these walls. He knew where it was.
He finally reached it. Two guards stood in his way. With a snarl, he blasted them both with Chaos energy, sending them flying into the wall and blacking-out. He walked up to the door. One round-house kick broke it open. He rushed down the steps.
"Please let her be safe, please let her be safe, please let her be safe," Scourge pleaded mentally.
He raced past cell after cell. No sign of Fiona. Now he was scared. What if they'd killed her?
He reached the end of the cells. In front of him was a door, one he'd never entered but that Alicia had told him about.
The torture chamber.
He was about to turn around and leave when he heard a loud, awful wail. All of his quills stood on end. He recognized that pained scream.
"FIONA!" He shouted, blasting the door open.
Inside the room were two figures. Alicia was staring at him in shock, holding a bloody knife pressed up a
Fiona slipped through the palace hallways silently and stealthily. Moonlight shone through the windows lining the hallway. She gripped her gun tightly. This was it. No turning back.
She stopped and peered around the corner. Two guards were in the hallway. She loaded her gun.
"The second I do this," she thought, "I can't turn back. I'll have to keep going."
Taking a deep breath, she leapt out into the hallway.
The guards didn't even have time to react. Within seconds they lay on the ground, bullets lodged in their necks. Fiona rushed past their dead bodies, panting with fear and worry. All she had was herself and her gun against a palace full of guards. She shoved her fear aside and raced through the hallways, determined to reach her destination.
Every guard she ran into met similar fates. She ran through the halls, firing bullets, killing guard after guard, and stopping only to reload her gun.
Guards dropped dead everywhere, blood oozing from the bullet wounds that killed
Scourge's eyes shot open. He leapt to his feet.
"FIONA?!" He shouted.
Without even thinking for one moment, he rushed off at the speed of sound to where her scream had come from. He arrived in time to see Alicia and Patch drag her through a Warp Ring.
He dove for the portal, only to do a face-plant into the dirt when it closed behind them. He lay there for a few moments, tears trickling down his face, then sat up.
"Fiona ," he whispered.
He got to his feet. What now? Should he rescue her?
"No," he thought. "She betrayed you for money. Let her suffer."
"But I still love her!" He muttered. "I don't want to leave her at the Suppression Squad's mercy!"
"But she betrayed you "
"I don't care!" He screamed at himself. "I'm rescuing her, and that's that!"
That was one problem solved. He had a feeling they would be keeping her at Moebius's palace prison, so that solved another. That just left one more.
Where was he?
"You should've asked Fio
The whip dug into Fiona's back again. She screamed and dropped to her knees, the only thing keeping her up being the fact that chains were attaching her shackles to the ceiling.
"This is why you don't turn against us," Alicia hissed, stroking her whip. "Where's Scourge?"
Fiona fought to keep her tears at bay. "I don't know."
The whip lashed into her back again. Fiona wailed and let the tears spill out and down her cheeks onto the white gown they made her wear. It covered all of her except her back, leaving it open to Alicia's vicious whip.
"Alicia, I don't think she's about to talk."
"She will, Boomer," Alicia said, kneeling in front of Fiona. "She will. She betrayed him once, she'll betray him again. Won't you, Fiona?"
Fiona glared directly into Alicia's eyes, hate burning inside her.
"I betrayed him once," she rasped painfully. "I'm not making that mistake again."
Alicia slapped Fiona harshly across her face. She winced, her cheek burning from the hit.
"You better," Alicia gro
Scourge leaned against a tree and closed his eyes, sparking Chaos energy between his fingertips.
"Glad I rescued you from the No Zone, huh?"
Scourge opened his eyes and smiled. Fiona was walking towards him in all her amazing, majestic beauty, her smile outshining even the sun.
"Yeah," he murmured as she stood next to him. "I'm glad you did."
He turned to face her. She was staring at him with her warm, gorgeous blue gaze. She slowly wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Smiling, Scourge wrapped his arms around her waist. They leaned forward, their lips meeting together in a kiss. Scourge pressed his hand against the back of her head, pushing her lips even more so against his.
"I love her," Scourge thought. "Oh, do I love her!"
Slowly, they pulled away, staring into each other's gaze. Neither wanted to move.
"I love you, babe," he murmured, stroking the side of her face.
"I love you, too," Fiona whispered, gently kissing him again.
"Aw, isn't this just the cutest thing
Dreams of realityA pair of eyes;
Open and stare through the lights,
Into the darkness of doom.
And yet they smile,
Yet they smile.
A drop of tear;
Seeps through the garden of death;
Falls to the mortal soil.
Dreams and desires will blend again,
To render the roses alive.
I am floating through a vision.
Like ripples, floating through the pond of life.
Can reality be so real?
Let me drown again,
Into the silence of familiar noise.
As I wander through the lanes of reason and passion.
The flame of hope burns bright,
Drenched in the colors of freedom.
So let my dreams unravel my soul,
As darkness fades away;
And let mortality draw me closer to destiny.
As these pair of eyes,
Open to stare through the lights again.
Is this reality?
Can reality be so real?
Time passes by, as the eyes keep staring;
Staring at the distant lights;
Staring beyond the distant skies.
What do they see?
What do they long?
What do they desire?
Then the skies will break down;
White lightning striking the dreamy clouds.
Moments will tur
