100TC: 15.Animal

There were days when Romano really, really hated Spain.
This was turning into one of those days.
“What the crapola is this?” He screamed furiously at the airhead in front of him. The airhead who currently had about ten turtles clinging to his body.
“They’re just so cute! I couldn’t resist buying some!” He said brightly, flashing a grin at the fuming Italian.
“This is not some, you moron! Some is three or four! That is the start of an army!”
“They’re not an army! They’re our friends!”
“Speak for yourself, you idiot! Why didn’t you tell me you were going to do something stupid like this?”
“I wanted to surprise you.”
“Yeah, well, I’m surprised, alright! And that’s not a good thing!”
Spain shrugged, the stupid grin never leaving his face. “I thought it’d be nice if we had some company.”
“Company? This is not company! Company would be Belgium! Or Netherlands! Or even my stupid brother! This is an invasion, you idiot!”
“Aw, Roma, don’t be like that. Boss was just trying to do something nice for you.”
“Like hell this is nice! We’re getting rid of them!”
“But Roma, I already named them!”
“What the… You named them? Already?”
“Of course!” Spain exclaimed happily, not noticing Romano’s anger level going up by the second. He then started to point to the turtles. “This one’s José… This one’s Maria… This one’s Alejandro…”
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
Spain ignored him, continuing to list of the names. “This one’s Antonio; I thought he was the best-looking of the bunch… Oh, and this little one is Sophia… And…”
“Spain,” Romano said evenly. “If you do not get rid of these turtles, I am calling an exterminator.”
“Aw, but why, Roma? They’re so adorable!”
“I don’t care! Get rid of them!” Romano snapped, turning to leave the room.
“But I was planning on showing them to Belgium when she comes over next week… She loves turtles…”
Romano froze mid-step, his eye twitching slightly. “Belgium… likes turtles?”
“Oh, sí! We had a lovely conversation about them last World Conference!”
The gears of Romano’s brain started turning as Spain continued to rattle on about the conversation. If Belgium liked turtles… And if they had turtles in the house…
“Spain!” He finally exclaimed, interrupting the happy-go-lucky man. “You’re coming with me to the store!”
“Huh? What for?”
“To get a tank for these stupid creatures, that’s what!”
